Bored with your internal demons?

Fat Earthers sent me their new track 'Bored', and hey, we got to talking about mental health. How did you settle on the name of your band and are you trolling flat earth believers?

Coming up with a band name is always a tough one. We had loads to choose from.. some safe, some outrageous, but for some reason, we kept laughing at Fat Earthers. I guess it captures a mix of things from global mental health and (Luke's) haha also poking fun at anxiety, depression etc. rock and roll can get a bit serious.

Let's talk about 'Bored'. Is it a personal coping mechanism?

Luke writes a lot from the first person, the view from the other if you like. If you're aware of his music, you will understand the lyrical style Luke captures too. Yes, you've got that it's a coping mechanism for him, Bored with everything, especially internal demons, a mirror to yourself.

When will you release 'Bored'?

We have already started playing it live a bunch of times. It is going to be our next release or the one after... life can get pretty dull at times hopefully end of the year keep ya peelers open.

Name three bands on the scene you purvey and why we ought to do a piece on them?

The Pill, wicked band from the island great name for a girl band who sing about political shit. Ghostcar London based band fucking rip psych tunes. Magnetix from France the best live garage duo ever to exist.
