Spoilers versus the rise of Russian bots

Following up from previous single 'Nothing', which took exception to binary choice referendums and the false economy of e-activism, the London post-punk's 'Facts Are Changing' chooses to take a direct, focused response to the rise of the right's alternative facts universe, Russian bots and the ghost-written autobiography of supposedly the most powerful puppet since Elmo. In doing so, Spoilers try their best to locate which level of reality the country is currently operating on.

Sharp-sounding duelling guitars, punchy basslines and felching synths reminiscent of early Wire, Fugazi and Uranium Club while the band's gang vocals shout on top of the chorus, joined by activist documentarian Hattie Smith of Kluster Rooms.

Typical of the band's DIY ethic, the song was recorded by the band's bassist Christopher Smith at their rehearsal space/studio Kluster Rooms and self-released by the band's label Vibe/Anti-Vibe as a digital single to coincide with the band's tour supporting Texan post-hardcore heroes … And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead.
