The vulnerability of people under the pressures of modernity

Built on songs and ideas put to tape in a local veterans' hall of all places, Deliluh's 'Oath of Intent' will come out on Tin Angel Records on 3 May. This isn't their first experience of working outside of the usual venues, with their gigs finding audiences in bakeries, libraries and even a decommissioned subway platform. This DIY attitude has made them a major feature of the Toronto scene, a reputation that will only be enhanced with the new LP.

Fresh from Oath of Intent comes 'Freeloader Feast'. The video, featured below, was shot on 16mm film at the band's apartment with their friends and neighbours talking about their day-to-day lives and struggles. By damaging the negatives, the band hopes to capture β€œthe vulnerability of people under the pressures of modernity that escalate out of their control.”
