This weekend's gigs, with Table Scraps, Human Pet, The Howlers and more
Make a weekend of it with Another Fest at The Shacklewell Arms, hosted by Saxon Zine. Remarkably, it looks like a free entry for every night, with the likes of Guru, Table Scraps, Human Pet, Sleep Eaters and a whole lot more on the bill to be enjoyed. Take every advantage of this frankly absurd act of generosity while you can.
The Tramlines Festival is also running over the weekend. The Library Stage seems to be where it’s at, with acts including BlackWaters and Hands Off Gretel, although She Drew The Gun make it to the main stage on Saturday.
If that all seems a bit corporate for you, there's a Tramlines Fringe going on, featuring Strange Bones, Sisteray, The Howlers and more.
You can also see The Howlers alongside Gaygirl in Portsmouth on Saturday.
Any night hosted by Permanent Creeps is worth a look, and this line-up at the Old Blue Last on Friday is no exception. See Wu-Lu, PVA, Football FC and The Vouchers for the grand old sum of £0.
Alternatively, head to The Finsbury Pub on Friday for music from Dead Naked Hippies, Dog of Man, Murmur and The Pretty Visitors. Also free entry but sign up in advance as space is limited.
Modern Rituals make an appearance in Bristol on Saturday alongside Wot Gorilla?, Hypophora and Last Hyena.
