Wrecking the bloodline

Belgian industrial producer Yannick Franck talks to Public Pressure about his views on spirituality, the message at the core of his project 'Wreck The Bloodline' under the pseudonym Raum.

I do believe in transcendence, though not in a theistic context per se. That we don't only have a body, a mind or even a soul, but also a spirit. And this spirit is the highest entity, much more important than we are as people.

It is not a cool or fashionable idea, and at times it makes my life harder because it's often mixed up with bigotry or new age. Which are just part of the same all-ruling fundamentalist materialism. But most of the time, it gives meaning and direction to my life and helps me move towards a greater sense of inner unity, more integrity.

Raum has a new EP coming out on Aufnahme + Wiedergabe soon.
