Get ready for NYE 2019

If you don’t have plans for seeing in the New Year yet, I salute you. However, you might want to think about getting on it pretty soon. On that note, here are five suggestions for saying goodbye to 2019.

How about joining Roadkill Records for their party at Aces & Eights? Enemy of the People will be doing a set and there are some very excellent DJs coming in from The Sly Persuaders, Noise Noir and more. First come first serve, so head over early if this is for you.

Or you could try music from Blood Visions and Fanny Pack at the Garibaldi Hotel in Northampton, plus a DJ to take you through to the wee small hours of 2020.

Alternatively, there are seven hours of queer counterculture to enjoy with Bollox NYE at The Deaf Institute in Manchester. Tickets are already running low, I hear, so get on it sooner rather than later.

If you want to pull a serious all-nighter and you’re more into the drum n bass/grunge thing, The Mill in Digbeth might be what you’re looking for. Chase & Status are the name act, but there’s a whole range of artists involved, including Bushbaby, Mind of a Dragon and Frenetic. (Disclaimer: I have no idea if these acts are any good, I just liked the names… I’ll get me coat.)

And finally, back in London, Windmill Brixton is seeing in the New Year with Wu-Lu, PVA, 404 and more.
